Quarterly Report: the First 3 Months of 2014

Bike: 8 miles (in Tel Aviv)
Run: 147.67 miles
Spinning: 3:46:05
Strength: 61 hours and 6 minutes

(Running: 33.06 miles in Jan, 50.86 miles in Feb, and 63.75 miles in March.)

Let's compare some of those numbers over January - March from the last 3 years:

2014
Swim: 36,830 yds
Bike: 8 miles
Run: 147.67 miles
Strength: 61hr 6min
   Ave weight: 161.26 lbs   
2013
Swim: 24,675 yds
Bike: 0 miles
Run: 198.93 miles
Strength: 32hr 27min
   Ave weight: 158.08 lbs   
2012
Swim: 3,900 yds
Bike: 102.26 miles
Run: 255.81 miles
Strength: 28hr 17min
   Ave weight: 155.7 lbs   


My running mileage is only down about 25% from this time last year, but it feels like it's down 3 times that. Right now I'm only "running," and I don't feel like I'm "training." Big diff.

Cliff notes:
- I'm swimming a lot (for me).
- Bike? What's that? I need to be re-introduced SHORTLY!
- Decent running but no speedwork, so I feel lame.
- Lots of exercises to get back to running, so lots of time doing strength work. (And Henry and I went to the gym 8 times over 9 days last week during my spring break. Party hard.)
- Gaining weight. Rapidly. Gotta work on that. But I don't want to. (SOME is from lifting more.)
