Chest Waxing Video

If you’ve been a follower of my blog for a while, you probably saw the video of me getting my chest waxed before the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon in 2008. Shortly after putting that video on YouTube, the audio was disabled because I used parts of “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley. Well, I wanted to put it back online, so here’s the original version with the “correct” audio.

Chest Waxing Video

Yes, I broke out horribly, but I don't blame Ann Marie, my Esthetician. She was great, she was hygienic, and she did her job well. She gave me some cream to rub on it for a few days after the wax. I think my body just reacted bad to the whole ordeal. It wasn't Ann Marie's fault at all.

I want to send a BIG THANKS out to Anne, my 17 year old sister-in-law, who filmed all the footage of me being waxed. Thanks Anne! She also snapped a few photos:

And then the night before the LTF Triathlon, I shaved my legs and arms:

Pre-Race Update

I was waxed. There will be pictures and a video posted Tuesday. There was one problem: this morning, I woke up all broken out. This is what I looked like when I got up this morning, all covered in zits:

I showered and scrubbed all the white-heads off. Gross. It hurt. I rubbed the special cream all over. Then I looked like this:

So if you’re coming out to watch the triathlon tomorrow, look for the person that looks like one giant herpe. (Is that proper usage of the singular form of “herpes”?) Because that will be me. Good thing I don’t embarrass easily.

WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO?!?!

I just stopped by to inquire.
The "service" I desired wasn't on their price list.
I asked "How much?"
The price was fair.
She told me Ann Marie was one of the best in the Cities.
Ann Marie had an opening at 3 on Thursday.
She said Ann Marie wouldn't mind if I brought a camera to take photos.
I deliberated.
I finally gave in.

I'm getting my chest waxed on Thursday in preparation for the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon (which is 2 days later).

Lord help me.

It will look different in a few days. You'll want to check back. I'll have photos. And hopefully, I'll still have 2 nipples too - I hear those things can just get ripped right out while being waxed.

I'm so freakin' scared.
