And that's why I don't want to move up there. I can't stand the cold.
Of course, I like to say we have four seasons here in Southern California, too. Summer, Santa Anna Winds, Coolish with a chance of rain, and Warming Up Again.
Thankfully, this year the fall in MO has been incredibly mild. I can't complain (much). Although we sometimes get those random "hopeful" days throughout the winter and they really get the kids thinking shorts are OK in the middle of winter!
Reverse winter and summer, swap March for October, and irrational happiness about warmth for irrational happiness about the first cold front of the season, and voila -- you have described south Texas weather.
Hi folks. I'm Steve. I became Ironman in WI in 2007. Now I'm stuck somewhere between teaching, making photos, raising my sons, training for triathlons, and everything else.

I feel the same way about Colorado! I always say the seasons are summer, winter the prequel, winter, and winter the sequel.
Ha! It's the opposite down here in AL!!
It's the same in Michigan, though here in the Big Mitten we call summer "construction." :)
Swap out your summer time and your winter time and you get NC's seasons. Summers are unbearably hot.
