Ironman Wisconsin 2009 Highlight Video
>> Monday, September 21, 2009
Last night (while flipping between the Emmys, football, The Simpsons, and King Kong), I finally put together a little highlight video of IM WI 2009. Being Pharmie and I volunteered all day in Madison, there are no clips from the bike. Sorry. Anyway, enjoy:

Gotta love the TingTings for the soundtrack!!!
Awesome Steve, thanks for working on this!!
THanks for posting. The last finisher was our good friend Bill. You can see my hubby at minute 2:08 in your video with the black t-shirt on. He ran with Bill the last 8 miles - ok'd by the race official following them on the bike.
Bill actually ended up in the hospital for 2 days due to compromising his kidneys.
Funny thing is, once he crossed the finish line, he collapsed, the volunteers carried him into the med tent, he was out of it, but yet he was asking for his wife to go and grab his finisher's t-shirt, medal, and hat. So he somehow still had his sense of humor. And knew he wanted his free IM swag.
All day long Bill was keeping us on edge with the cut off times.
Swim 2:04 (PR for him 2:09 last year); 8:11 on the bike; and then all the mini-cutoffs during the run he was cutting it close, he made one of them with 30 secs left.
He is recovered and doing well.
Wow! I'm glad he's getting better! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing all these updates; highlights, photos etc. I love checking in on all of them!
This is fantastic. Can you share the name of the software that you used to make the video? Thanks!!
I am glad that the last finisher is OK - it is such a small world that one of your readers knew the participant - this is why I love the tri community.
Thanks Steve for the super quick comment!
I was a little disappointed in the "official" race highlights video. This is better. I especially like the segment as the sun is going down at the support area.
Love it! Nice job Steve. And thanks for sharing all the videos and pics with us!
awesome video! i love the time lapse on the run.
I have never participated in an IM race, I likely never will. However the two IM races I had the privilege of watching are at the top of my spectator experiences, I still tear up with pride looking at the pictures or watching the videos it is such a spectacular experience no matter which side of the gate you find yourself on.
Great video, thanks for sharing it! I may, um, borrow it and post it on FB :) I believe I saw myself jogging through your aid station, and it was one of the precious and rare moments I was able to run during my marathon walk due to an injury. Such an amazing day, you captured it well!
Thanks for checking the high res! I was 2306 and had a limp, pretty sure that was me! I only "ran" about 4-5 miles total that day and that was one of the few moments. Nice to see it captured for proof :)
Very fun - thanks Steve for sharing that. Great memories!
