November in Review: Good Running and Strength!

>> Saturday, December 05, 2020

Here's what November looked like:

SWIM: 0 yards. (No gym.)
BIKE: 51.92 miles. (2 easy rides, a short ride with my boys, and a memorial ride.)
TRAINER TIME: 5 hours, 11 minutes. (Mainly easy spinning.)
RUN: 94.79 miles. (A MONTHLY PR for the year!)
STRENGTH: 35 hours, 8 minutes. (4th highest month lifetime.)

It was a pretty normal / consistent month. Thanksgiving was the only Thursday without a spin - I've been good about Thur/Sat spins since about mid-summer. My trainer time was my 5th highest month this year (out of 9 months starting in March after getting over my injury).

My running mileage went up each month all year except for October (when I raced and then backed off a bit): 87 miles in Sept, 84 in Oct. And then I kicked it back up with 94 miles last month! But that 94 miles was also aided with 5 long runs as Mondays are my long days - so I had a long run on the 2nd of the month, and then on the last day of the month.

And my strength was my 4th highest month in my life as I mentioned - and those other top 3 highest months have all been in 2020: March (37:39), May (36:06), and Sept (35:12).

I don't have any big goals for December. Just more running and training without getting injured!
