Official Race Photos from the TC 10 Mile
>> Monday, October 19, 2026
The "official" photos came in from the 2026 TC 10 Mile. (Here's my race report if you missed it, along with a few final thoughts.) These photos show things I wrote about in my race report:
First, I started off near Doron C for a few miles:
Doron in front of me, after we had chatted a bit.
Wider shot. Around mile 1.5.
Again, me and Doron. This might actually be earlier, like around mile 0.8 or so.
Me in the middle on the curvy roads by the river.
Running on the left.
After climbing the big hill from mile 2 to 2.75 turning onto Franklin. With Kari and Doron!
(I passed Kari for good shortly after, and Doron about a mile up the road.)
I'm the background at mile 4.5 (with the Lake/Marshall Bridge behind us).
I'm MAKING A FACE back there!
Running away from the Lake/Marshall Bridge on the left.
Fast forward 4 more miles to mile 8.5! Here's me and Mr. "Roses
Bucket Hat" working our way down Summit Ave hoping to break 60!
A little "side-eye" for the photographer.
A better looking stride.
Now a jump up to mile 9.5!
Notice the 2 guys on the left. They were having a lot of small-talk at mile 1...
... and here I am a bit ahead of them near the end. But in a few photos, you'll see they out-kicked me.
Here they are 2 blocks later, and they are passing me.
And they are well ahead of me a few blocks later as we neared the finish.
Yay! A decent one of me with a block left!...
... and then a worse one. Ouch.
Oh, but then a little better one!
The 2 guys with me behind them (in between them) just feet from the finish.
Those 2 guys finishing, with me about to back there.
What's THAT face? I was happy with my 59:34, so I don't know where that face came from!
Dead.
Again, I truly WAS happy! Even if I don't exude that here. :)
And there's my bucket hat buddy finishing behind me for his sub-60 too!
Just after getting my mylar blanket (with the "vein of approval" bulging in my forehead).
With a handful of goodies (I ate a few on the train ride home).
