A Big Swim Meet for Charlie

I had 2 posts last month about Charlie joining his school's swim team for the first time, and then a post from his first swim meet. Two weeks ago, his school hosted a meet at a nearby college, and I was on the pool deck taking some photos. Here are a few from the day:

This kid's practice dive was a little too vertical.

... but it ended a bit belly-flop-esque.

... he had the best TIMING for the push-off, but NOT good form...


... I think that poor kid in lane 7 was afriad to start. :(

Charlie told me that one of his teammates had a "sideways" dive.
Sure enough, kind of sideways there under the diving board...


... but still a phenomenal dive compared to this one. Yikes.

Charlie earned a ribbon for all 4 races!
(They went through 3rd place for relays and 8th place for individuals.)
