Friday Funny 295: My New Jammers

>> Friday, March 16, 2012

So Tuesday was my birthday. I told Pharmie not to get me anything, and she obliged. Later that day, we decided to place an order for swim gear, and she decided that THIS was going to be my birthday present:

Front

Back

Yep. I'm serious. They might be arriving today.

HELP ME NAME THESE BAD BOYS! I already have the "Tutti Fruitti" jammers and the "Bowl Full of Sunshine" shorty-shorts (that I think I'll be wearing at this weekend's WARM race), but I'll need a perfect name for these!

I don't currently have anything to give away, but if I end up picking YOUR suggestion for a name, I'll round something up and send you a "thank you" package. For reals.

So, what should I call them?...

I think they should be called "Husband Haters." It's obvious that you did something wrong and you didn't realize it...yet.

Pretty In Scotland.

I've got blue plaid TYR briefs. They rock.

Unknown 9:24 AM, March 16, 2012

I rather like the name they already (sort of) come with - Plaid Happiness

Leigh 9:29 AM, March 16, 2012

How about plaidorama? Either way, those are quite the shorts!

All you need now is a running shirt where you can pop the collar, bro.

That said, Bro Shorts. Cheers!

Travis 9:53 AM, March 16, 2012

"Plaid-apus" - because hey, let's face it...triathletes and runners are kinda weird!

Jeremy Reichenberger 10:15 AM, March 16, 2012

I wish I could help you out on a name - and I've been thinking about it all morning at work. But I'm really at a loss for words.

Cara 10:15 AM, March 16, 2012

The Plaid Baffies? I think "baffies" are actually slippers or something, but it's a fun Scottish word.
I like someone else's suggestion of The Groundskeeper Willies. :)

Lumber-jacked

SteveQ 11:01 AM, March 16, 2012

Ach! Ya blouse-wearin' poodle-walking cheese-eatin' surrender-monkies make a mighty puddle of puke.

Them'r "Willie's Daft Kilt!" An' no pansy this side of Aberdeen dare say nae.

Laura 11:08 AM, March 16, 2012

Pinky McPlaidalot

I also like Tartansauce.

Paula 11:35 AM, March 16, 2012

My suggestion is apparently a mashup honoring St. Patrick's Day and Spongebob Squarepants' Crabby Patties.

Patty Plaiddies?

Plaiddie Patties?

Oh dear. I might need to send these to my friend Chad.....

I personally like the name they came with, but someone else already commented that. Plaid Love Happiness.

Maybe the Pink Luvin' Happiness?

Someone already took it, but "Pretty in Pink!" is my favorite.

After that, I'd try "S.I.P. (Stereogram In Plaid). You know those patterns you stared at for hours as a kid until an image emerged? "Stare long enough and something might just emerge!"

Sparklinglady 6:00 PM, March 16, 2012

tartan swass or lovejam like the name they come with.

T 6:22 PM, March 16, 2012

picnic in the park (like "this race is a walk in the park" but picnic because, y'know, the plaid).

i had something totally awesome earlier today when i first saw the feed on the shorts ... but i lost it. boooo.

George Houston 6:26 PM, March 16, 2012

You better be FAST if you are going to rock those swim trunks. Look on the brightside at least you saved $2.05.

How about the Pink Panther.

Anonymous,  5:38 AM, March 17, 2012

How about The Mad Plaid

Lisa S 8:50 AM, March 17, 2012

Fruit stripes....as in the gum. They look delicious ;-) or. Not. I will say that they make me want to go to a race just to see people faces when you run by (if you're slow enough that they can see something more than a blur)

Dan Isaacs 8:58 AM, March 17, 2012

Plaid for the Cure

Bowl of Checks

Grid Girdle

I think the name they already have works. Love & Happiness

Anonymous,  5:46 PM, March 17, 2012

they look like they're giving off an impenetrable force field, so . . . force to be reckoned with?

Julie @ ROJ Running 7:36 AM, March 18, 2012

'Al Pals' they remind me of the flannel shirts Al used to wear on Home Improvement
