August Training in Review

>> Monday, September 07, 2020

I'm gonna say it... August's training looked GREAT:

• SWIM: 0 yards (gym open, but we're still not going)
• BIKE: 216.15 miles (I think that's a monthly PR since IM training in the summer of 2007!)
• TRAINER: 3 hours 5 minutes
• MOUNTAIN BIKING: 1 hour 26 minutes
• RUN: 77.80 miles
• STRENGTH: 34 hours 8 minutes

Adding in the 3+ hours of trainer rides (at, let's say, 18 mph because my trainer time hasn't been difficult), my monthly biking total becomes 271.65 miles! Adding in the 1:26 of mountain biking at 8 mph, it becomes 283.11 miles!

And as I posted last week, the last full week in August was biggest week of cycling since racing Ironman Wisconsin in 2007: 100.42 miles.

My running is slowly growing since I started back at it after my injury in mid-March. Monthly running totals starting in March were 37.33, 58.0, 62.51, 65.82, 74.22, and 77.80 miles. Nice steady growth! Maybe 1 more month of that before backing off a bit in October. We'll see.
