Semi-Wordless Wednesday: Shrimp Recipes

>> Wednesday, September 09, 2020

I cooked 4 lbs of shrimp this past weekend in 2 different ways. We have lots of rosemary growing in the garden, so we looked for recipes with that. Here's what we found:

We had 30-40 count shrimp, and we had ones that were NOT peeled. And the recipes worked great (even though they called for peeled shrimp). The baked recipe was super easy - just sprigs of rosemary and thyme, and just thrown in the oven. (And then we used the herby oil to dip our shrimp in when we ate them.) The grilled recipe was a bit more work - mincing some rosemary and LOTS of garlic, 2 hours in the fridge, and then watching it more carefully over the grill. But both were good!

p.s. I think I liked the oven recipe because it was so easy and because the herby oil left over was so good for dipping. But my wife liked the smokiness of the grilled recipe a bit better.
