Friday Funny 151: My Fat Cat Wants Me To Be Overweight Too

>> Friday, January 21, 2011

Last Sunday, I was watching the NFL playoff games. I figured I could do some core work while watching. So I grabbed my balance ball and got to work.

Soon, my cat Kermit needed some attention. After just a few moments, she jumped onto my belly to get pet. Good thing my camera was within reach:

Looking for some hand lovin.

Settling in. (And yes, that's an original NES in the background... it's sweet!)

Me and Kermit.

My 14 pound cat wants me to stop doing core work and apparently wants me to be overweight too....

My cat does this, too. Then I got 2 dogs. Then a baby. Now there are 4 creatures, all about 20 pounds, that jump on me when I lie on the floor.
That is why I have no abs.

my cat popped my ball!! And when i try to do planks or yoga or anything really, she attacks my ankles or my wrists when i'm in a plank! I love her dearly, but she must also want me to be fat! :)

My cat does that all the time. And when Hannah, my puppy, was still around she always loved helping me stretch!

Kermit is just looking out for your safety. You probably would have injured your back or worse doing the core work.

My cat does exactly the same thing, it's almost like he assumes I have come down to "his level," (i.e., the floor), and therefore, I must be there to pay attention to his needs.

I think it's a 'cat thing' If I drag out the mat to do yoga, as soon as I get into 'downward dog' my cat will wander over and LAY right in the middle of mat.

And Rachele - my cat popped my swiss ball too!

I think Kermit was trying to help you out and give you a little added resistance so you can get a better workout :)My cats love to sit on my back and go for a ride when I'm doing pushups.

Kitteh help is the best. Next time, use him as additional resistance. :)

Ha, my one cat does the exact same thing. My other one apparently has a death wish -- I usually have to lock him out of the room when I am on the trainer as he tries to stick his head into the wheel.
