November in Review: a "Recovery" Month

>> Saturday, December 14, 2024

... or more of an "injured" month I guess.

November's training log was pretty uneventful:

The FIRST DAY of the month was my only speed work of the month (and then my calf/heel injury flared up), the next day was a hard ride, and the LAST DAY of the month was my only other hard riding. The 4th and the 25th were pretty normal long runs with some "at pace" miles in the middle, but I cut the run on the 8th to just 1 mile because of some leg pain, and then I skipped my long run on the 11th.

November started well with some good training followed by that injury flare up. And then my Garmin told me my fitness was tanking.

SWIM: 11,650 yards (normal-ish)
BIKE: 98.64 miles (least since Feb)
TRAINER TIME: 8 hrs 22 mins (only 2 hrs and 40 mins were harder workouts)
RUN: 78.66 miles (least since July of 2021 - last minor injury slow-down)
STRENGTH TIME: 52 hrs and 57 mins (good)

I'm not out of the injury woods yet, but training is a bit more normal lately!...
