I put my goggles on earlier this week at the pool, and they instantly snapped:
I asked the lifeguard if there were any unclaimed goggles laying around, but he didn't have any. So I hopped in the pool to do LOOOOOOTS of kicking! I ended up swimming 1400 yards of ONLY kick drills:
I don't think I've ever kicked for 200 straight, let alone doing that THREE times. And I did the first 2 50s on my side (with only one arm on the kickboard), which is why they were so slow - then the final 2 50s were "normal."
My heartrate also spiked in those first 2 50s because kicking on my side is ROUGH!
