Pics from My Wife's Half Marathon

>> Saturday, January 11, 2020

Last weekend, my wife ran a half marathon. (See this post for more.) EnMotive, the timing company, posts photos pretty quickly of each runner and/or people around them. So it's hard (if not impossible) to see ALL the race photos, but you can see a lot of yourself or people around you every easily. Here are some of her:

At the start, with her 2 friends/co-workers (whom she shortly left in the dust).

Starting the 2nd loop with her race buddy Brian!

My wife likes to make race buddies! And after her other friends decided to hold back a little, she fell right in with Brian, who was the same age as her Dad. They ran the rest of the race together (except for maybe the last quarter-mile).

Lots of photos from this spot along the river (with the
High Bridge in the background) as the started the 2nd loop.

That's cute.

Such a babe.

Somewhere out on Water Street. (Assuming this is the 2nd lap
as she looks pinker in her cheeks than the last "half-way" photos.)

Looking STRONG at the line!

Brian wasn't feeling the best near the end (I mean, they WERE racing 13.1 miles), and my wife was feeling OK and just wanted to be done. So she started a decent kick. She ended up finishing about a minute in front of Brian: 2:07:51 vs 2:08:49, 153rd out of 265 vs 158th.

Nice race sweetie! Glad you found someone willing to chat! :)
