>> Tuesday, February 09, 2010
Yesterday, I posted the guidelines for the “Gnarliest Injury Photo” contest, and I’ve already gotten over a dozen entries. (Click here to see the rules and learn how to enter - it’s pretty easy, just follow the 4 steps.)
Today, I want to highlight the sweet, sweet prizes that are being given away. Remember, there are SIX people that will win prizes in this giveaway: the top 3 women and the top 3 men!

The top 3 women and the top 3 men will ALL win a free Road ID. These top 6 winners can choose whatever style of Road ID they want from the Road ID website, even the new “Wrist ID Elite:”
If you don't think you need one, you are mistaken. But if you can't be convinced, they make a GREAT gift for a loved one. Click here to read testimonials from people whose live's may have been saved by their Road ID.

The top man and woman (the ones with the "gnarliest" injury photo) will win a Road ID and 2 sweet items from Sugoi: a Zap Vest and a MidZero Knicker.
The Zap Vest features highly functional wind and water protection. It has 360 degree reflectivity to keep your safety in mind, and the variety of pockets makes this a great choice for every day activity. The hemline on the Zap Vest is finished with an adjustable shockcord, increasing the functionality and providing a perfect fit for each individual.
This is the men's model
This is the women's model
The second place man and second place woman will win a Road ID and a Sugoi Helium Vest. The Helium Vest is an impressive combination of coverage and protection. It only weights 80 grams (2.5 oz.), yet it is both water and wind resistant. This breathable vest is perforated for ventilation, has a reflective element, and a signature zip pocket for functionality.
This is the women's model
The third place man and third place woman will win a Road ID and a Sugoi RSR Mesh Hat. The RSR Mesh Cap is creating a buzz, as it was recently featured in the New York Times Magazine. The hat provides technical comfort while covering and protecting your most important body part (and I'm not talking about your hair). The female version even has a female specific fit!
Women's on top, men's on the bottom
If you add up the retail price of the goodies that Road ID and Sugoi are giving away, it's $367.50 in prizes to the top 3 men, and $367.50 in prizes to the top 3 women! That's a total of $735 of SWEET gear!
Road IDs on the top, the Zap Vest and Helium Vest in the middle,
and the Knicker and hats on the bottom
And if you want to thank these great companies for giving to this contest, you can become a fan of Sugoi on Facebook, become a fan of Road ID on Facebook, follow Sugoi on Twitter, and follow Road ID on Twitter. Thanks Sugoi and Road ID!
p.s. I'm bad at keeping secrets. Really, ask my wife. I wanted to keep this a secret, but I NEED to share it with you: there's a special giveaway for everyone next week that will take place in the middle of the voting for the "gnarliest injury photo" contest. It won't be a contest, just a drawing! It's a drawing INSIDE of a contest! MORE goodies!! Yay!

Hi Steve,
Oh great, now I want to go shopping again:)
Sweet prizes. It has been suggested to me that if I don't win one of them (which seems unlikely seeing how much blood and general mangle-ness was in my entry) I had best go buy the ID band anyways.
Pretty jazzy stuff! Keeping my fingers crossed... should have saved the jersey and shorts but those got cut off in surgery :)
i wish a picture was taken after i got into my accident a few years ago when i pissed myself :) but alas.
I have the new Wrist ID Elite and I love it. It goes well with my big ol' honking Polar watch.
Not sure how I can top the comment above mine. Impressive!
Friend Lindsay should be entering (if she hasn't already entered) your contest. If someone can top her, they damn well deserve a million dollars.
I just deleted that spamming comment... Spammers suck.
Oh me likey the Sugoi stuff, but a RoadID would be more practical!
