...but we’re all glad we did it!
Just a quick note that everyone know that all 5 of us (including multi-sport first-timer Steph) finished the Winter BeGone Duathlon this morning! The race came close to being canceled...
There was RAIN.
There was LIGHTNING.
There was a little HAIL.
There was WIND.
There was COLD. (is that a sentence?)
And there was a car full of us from the Cities that didn’t really want to start the race.
Here’s a quick photo of Pharmie before the race standing (and shivering) in a downpour:

wow, Pharmie looks THRILLED to be there!
Looking forward to hearing about it!
Glad you guys did it anyway!
I bet the pictures are amazing!
Way to do it. I stuck to the Treadmill.
you finished and now you have yet another interesting story to tell. :-)
This looks exactly like what I had to put up with on my 10K this past Saturday! Sucks, but still was fun!
Looking forward to the pics!
Brrr....
On the suck scale that looks like a 10 !
looks ... delightful.
Oh my. That's craziness!
OH, I hate the sting of hail when I ride a bike! Can't wait to get the details!
UGH! Looks like one of those races where I hope and pray not to get there in time to compete...
Congrats for getting through the event. Makes my run in the rain today feel very wimpy.
Will it ever be warm here again?
Congrats for toughing it out. Racing under those conditions is NO FUN!
Oh boy. Can't wait to hear the story.
Yikes! Congrats on the finish. :)
That looks miserable!
Well, at least it looks like you guys are prepared...though I imagine those umbrellas will slow you down a bit... :)
sounds like a terrific race experience. ;) glad you all survived and can't wait to get the full story.
That looks miserable!
Those do NOT look like nice racing conditions! Congrats to all. Can't wait to hear about it!
OMG, kill me before I'd get out of the car.
omg, that's ironic that it was a "Winter BeGone" race. Wow, yall are troopers!
Those are probably the worst possible race condition you could ask for. Even snow would have been better.
