Yep. It finally happened. My dead toenails held out for NEARLY 3 months.
Here’s what they looked like 1 month after getting beat up in a rough run:
Stories, training, and the good times that follow this Ironman Triathlete.

Awwww...how sad for your toenail...but so good for your wifey!! Good luck mud running! :)
Yay for Pharmie...nothing better than a good rub rub. Eh, who needs toenails anyways?
hahah you guys make a cute couple :)
Toe nails are over rated!!
Did your toenail go in your journal too?
You have a gap between your big toe and second toe that could fit a whole other toe!
Congrats to Pharmie on her victory!
You are a master mind - what a WIN - WIN bet!
Congrats, Sarah, I'm jealous!!! Hope your run goes well, Steve!

Aw man, I totally thought those toenails were going to make it! Haha, lucky Pharmie! ;) Have fun in the mud!
man i just ate!!! the good people at some lucky lunch restaurant thank you, because i'm about to lose my breakfast and mid-morning snack. pharmie must be a lucky lucky woman.
Yay Pharmie wins! Now Steve...have you been moonlighting...? Taking part in popular music videos...? Spotted this and I'm sure I recognise the socks and 'bowl of sunshine' particularly around 1min 26secs:

Or is this the prelude to Pharmies massage?!
Yay for Pharmie!
Tisk tisk. You let your body fail you. I hate to say this, but I'm going to need a man card.
Well, I hope you at least washed your hands before touching your wife!
Yark. You should keep it in a jar with any other nails you lose along the way.
And then on really good, upbeat days, sniff that jar and it will bring you back down to a normal level of apathy.
Lost one on Thursday myself...I'd never bet on mine.
are you sure it wasn't friday the 17th?
Anyway, sucks about the toenail...mine look the same. Same two toenails. The guys at work refer to the toe as "the one with the chocolate chip". I've decided that when it does fall off, I'm giving it to them :)
Oops, yeah Amanda... I fixed it. I'm a dolt...
;)
You and Pharmie are so very perfect for each other. :o)
UGLY BUT FUNNY!
Yay for Pharmie!!!!
Did you scrapbook the toenail?
Yeah, that is nasty, and happened to me, too, until I learned that despite how much I'd like to have less-ski-like feet, I needed to go up in size. Bigger shoes, and I bet you keep your nails next time.
congrats to pharmie on the massage !
pharmie should get two massages...
one for the nail bet...
and one....
for...being a great sport
I am too lazy to go back and look it up for sure, but I am pretty certain I called it :) It was SO going to fall off!
GROSS. But awesome.
This really sounds like a win-win situation....
I see no losing here.
