Is this guy ahead of you?
That photo was from the Flying Pig Marathon in May. The guy who snapped it recently started seeing it pop up all over the web. (I saw it on 2 sites and on FB myself.) Well, the photographer tracked down this runner and interviewed him! It's quite funny. Check it out here. It will make you smile.

Lovely interview and shirt!
My hub wants to make a shirt with the X-ray of his titanium-reinforced ankle and leg on the back for races similar to Thomas's shirt.
Perhaps the one of him in a coma here- http://www.sonnettics.com/about-2/ (bottom of page) might make a better one...with something inspiring (?).
Thanks for sharing the backstory - I have seen this on FB several times from friends that live all over. How nice that the picture-taker got some credit and tracked down the guy for a great interview. How fun! Definitely makes me think I am a wimp for not having at least TRIED to do a half.
