My Boys' First Concert!

Tuesday night was a fun night. And late night. We took the boys to The Killers at Xcel Energy Center. Here are a few pics from my wife and me:

Johnny Marr (from The Smiths) was the opening act, and he was OK. Charlie fell asleep a few songs into The Killers set (it was already after his bedtime afterall), but we woke him for "Somebody Told Me:"

Charlie was a bit of a grump after being woke up, so I took the boys up closer to the stage to see if we could find a better seat. The section RIGHT next to the stage was closed, but random people were coming to sit in it, so we did too!

They ended their set and we waited for the encore. Here's nearly a 3 min video that I posted on Instagram of Charlie finding his second wind and being excited for the encore! The 3rd and final song of their encore was "Mr. Brightside," and it was a slightly more stripped down version. And as soon as that ended, they went right back into "Mr. Brightside" again, only this time it was the higher energy version we all know. Everyone loved it!

Afterwards, I carried Charlie from the doors of Xcel to our car next to the Cathedral:

It was an 11:15 bedtime for the boys! And then Charlie took a 2.5 hour nap on Wednesday after school.
