Weekly 10Ks

>> Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Since "coming back" to running after my injury, I've ran 3 runs of 6+ miles. The last 2 have been 6.22 miles as my "long run" on Monday (yesterday) and last week Monday:

10 seconds faster this week. Sweet. :) (7:02s vs 7:04s.)

A week ago, it was threatening to storm, and being it DIDN'T storm as I was running, I just kept running until I'd hit about a 10K. Yesterday, I went out figured I'd run about the same. Yesterday, I "just ran," but my mile splits showed a gentle descend until I let up a bit for the last mile: 7:05, 6:59, 6:57, 6:57, 6:50, and 7:15. (Not trying to run hard or hit a certain pace, but just running moderate to moderate/hard.)

I still felt my hamstring as it wasn't magically cured, but it was a good run, and it feels good to be hitting runs over 6 miles! Again. Finally!
