Swim Lesson #2

Henry got me in the pool for a second time this past weekend. Saturday started with me and Henry playing at home:

His shirt says "Hanging out with Dad" and there are 2 monkeys. Appropriate.

Pharmie spent the morning and part of the afternoon with her sisters and her Mom, so Henry and I headed to his swim lesson sans-Momma. He passed out on the way there, and I had to wake him up in the "family locker room" at the Y:

We got our trunks put on, and we were ready to swim!!

I think he's pointing at his rolls... just so you don't miss them.

I LOVE this photo!! (And his chubby arm and hand!)

Moobs (like Jagger)

He liked the water even more than his first swim lesson last week. He had a good time last week, but wasn't quite sure what to make of the water sometimes. But this time, he let out more "growls" (what he does when he's happy / proud), and he smiled more!

And at the end of his lesson, I DUNKED HIM TOTALLY UNDER WATER FOR THE FIRST TIME! It "shocked" him, but he didn't mind it! (The swim teacher recommends doing that when kids are in a good mood at the end of swim time just to start getting them used to going under.)

We hit the locker room, stripped down to our birthday suits, and grabbed one more photo before showering off:

Henry's "baby toupee" is more pronounced when his hair is wet.
(And my chest is red from Henry scratching at me.)

And just like he did the week before, after his swim lesson, he PASSED OUT in his car seat for over 2 hours! That workout wore him out! :)

  3. Love it! I can't wait to get the new baby into the water. We started Bear in the water at 4 months and he LOVED it.
