We headed to Eilat from Tel Aviv for the Israman Triathlon:
Greeted by a big sign at the Eilat airport the day before the race.
The Red Sea the day before the race. (Those hills to the left are in Jordan - I mentioned
watching the sun come up over them while swimming in my Israman Race Report.)
These are ALL fruit cups.
People sitting at the edge of the lagoon.
Looking down the outdoor buffet. It stretches way farther than you can see here.
Grilled veggies.
I started my meal rather healthily (for me): assorted cheeses to the left,
and a few kinds of freshly squeezed juice and fresh fruit.
Chatting with the 2 guys from Joe's No-Flats over breakfast.
They talked about their "big" item: their tube sealant. The coolest part of the morning is when they (and then many of us) repeatedly stabbed a nail into a fully-inflated road bike tire and then pulled it out so we could see just how quickly (and strongly) it sealed the tire. It was amazing. Here's our group with Ben ready to cram the nail back into the tire for about the 4th time that morning:
Toasting with some strong Israeli booze post-meal.
Here's a bit about their sealant from their website:
The best sealant in the market! Specifically developed for light TLR/ TNT tubeless tires with thin side walls. Suitable for sensitive rims and tires. Suitable for people with allergy and sensitivity to latex. For use in tubeless tires and inner-tubes. Instantly seals punctures in the tread up to 6 mm more permanently than any other sealant on the market. Does not build a sticky substance in the tire. Easy to use spout- fits into all valves. Contains micro-sealing particles.
And here's some about their pre-filled tubes from their website:
Very high quality lightweight butyl inner-tubes, prefilled with 50 grams of Joe's Road Racing Sealant - the world's most effective anti-puncture sealant for road bikes! Specially engineered to seal punctures at the high air pressures of road racing wheels. Instantly seals punctures in the tread up to 3mm. 120 grams total weight for the Superlight Self Sealing tubes.
Here's what I want to give away:
2 sets of "no flats" tubes, some rim tape (if you decide to try tubeless), and some No Flat sealant.
These are mine! You're not getting these... at least not right now.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO TO BE ENTERED TO WIN THE SEALANT AND SELF-SEALING TUBES IS LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST BELOW!
Yeah, that's it. Comment below. You do NOT need to be a blogger, but make sure to leave some specific info so you’ll know if you won. (So you could say something like this: “Hey Steve, this John Smith from Topeka. I want some of Joe's stuff! Thanks!”)
So, check back next weekend (Mar 8 or 9) to see if you've won! ESPECIALLY if you’re not a blogger, because I have no way of contacting you! The contest is open NOW through 5 pm (central time) on Friday. At 5 pm, I'll print out all the entries, give extra numbers to those who earned extra entries, and then draw numbers out a hat for the winner!
Pseudo-legal stuff:
- Contest only open to residents of the US and Canada.
- You may comment now (on THIS post) through 5 pm Central time on Friday, March 7.
- The winner will be chosen at random by a random number generator or by drawing numbers out of a hat. If you’ve earned multiple entries, you will get multiple numbers, thus bettering your chances at winning.
- Just like in all of my giveaways, I've only been given this stuff; they have not asked or told me to say anything else in this post. All of these thoughts are my own.
- Check back next weekend to see if you won! (Especially if you don’t have a blogger account because I have no way of contacting you.)
- If the winner does not contact me within 2 days after being announced, I'll be forced to draw a new winner. So check back and KEEP checking back in case the winner is lame!
So comment now to be in the running to win these cool puncture sealing goodies from Joe's No-Flats!

Yes, yes please! Having no flats would make for infinitely better riding - especially here where getting a flat means getting cold in the rain while you repair it.
ReplyDeleteSweet! What a game changing product. Would love to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm a cyclist and DEFINITELY want in on this!

ReplyDeleteNo flats . . . impossible until I see it.
ReplyDeleteYes, please, thank you.
ReplyDeleteVery cool product. I don't think I'd stab my tires with a nail to test it, but, given the frequency of flats on my training rides, I'd be very keen to try it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win and see if this actually works against the nasty goat head thorns we have in central new mexico.
ReplyDeleteSeems like an amazing product, please put my name in :)

ReplyDeleteMike in Mankato
this would be awesome
ReplyDeleteOMG! Yes, please!! That sounds amazing and I will be asking our bike shop to stock it. So you have to use their tubes with the sealant? Sure seems like the sealant could have some wider (beyond cycling) applications too.
ReplyDeleteI hate flats and I love technology. Sealants FTW!
ReplyDeleteoh, me please. I am doing IM Cd'A and I hear flats are common on that course!
ReplyDeleteAfter a flat in a half iron last summer and another in a duathlon, it'd be great to not have to worry about this. Especially in races! I'll gladly take them off your hands.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to bike to work but am terrified of getting a flat, so if you pick me, you'll be saving the environment. Thanks :-)
