Man, I'm super pumped for the indoor triathlon on Sunday where I'm competing with 5 students/friends who are all doing their first tri!! I'm SUPER pumped! I'll be back with photos and our story on Sun/Mon. Super pumped.
To help me swim faster during the tri, I'll be asking my lovely wife to help remove my excess body hair in those hard-to-reach places. She doesn't mind helping out. She's pretty swell! I also have NOT clipped my fingernails or toenails in 4 weeks. They'll work as flippers, right? Gross.
Finally, I've already received a few entries for the "Tales of a Virgin Athlete" contest. Click here (or scroll down 1 post) for entry guidelines - there are $450 in prizes!! Don't miss out!
How pumped are you? SUPER pumped, apparently!
ReplyDeleteRemember: brand-new razor blades are your friend.
Good luck!
Good luck!!! Look forward to the report.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure shaving one's spouse is part of the marriage vows...
aw man - if this was an open water swim and you had claws as finger and toenails, i would kill you! i cant tell you the number of times i have been scratched during a swim!
ReplyDeleteShaving down!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the triathalon. I'll be anxious to hear how it goes for the new people cause I'll be in their shoes in about three weeks!
ReplyDeleteYay, best of luck!! Can't wait to read all about it! :)
ReplyDeletei am hoping that our local gyms will jump in the indoor tri idea soon!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
We need pics of your hairless body and tree hugging toes!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!

ReplyDeleteGood luck!! I did my first indoor-tri last Saturday, and it was different, but still a blast. Kinda cool to be able to chat to my wife and kids while running (which might also explain the rather shoddy time for my 5k on the dreadmill).
ReplyDeleteYour wife is such a trooper. Mine would not even let me ask that question.
ReplyDeleteI 'd clip the fingernails but leave the toenails. Advantage - Steve.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you and your students.
Wow you're going outside for a bike this weekend?! That hadn't even crossed my mind...where do you go that the roads aren't wet/icy?
ReplyDeleteHave fun and good luck, never done an indoor tri
ReplyDeletei hope i win. i need socks in a bad way. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the triathlon sounds like you're all going to have a fun time!
ReplyDeleteI'll probably enter...little scared about the photo part, lol.
Smooth like a chiwawa.
ReplyDeleteI think that one of these indoor tris is what I am going to have to do for my first too. I wouldn't even have to buy a bike!
Say "hi" to the naked guys @ LTF for me.

ReplyDeletegood luck!! i hope your freshly shaven ...parts... do the trick!
