Two Reasons I Do Not Remove My Watch

#1: My nasty watch tan line (my best one in years):

#2: The science experiment growing between the bands of my watch:

Ewwwwwww! I’d rather not know what’s growing on my watch. Unless it can cure cancer. Maybe I’ve been carrying the cure to cancer on my arm for the last year. Or maybe it’s just a flesh-eating parasite. I guess time will tell.

  1. Sweet photo Steve of the inside of your watch band :-) electrolyte deposits in a parasitic form? the tan lines look awesome as ever also as we hit the peak of the summertime heat!

  2. Does your watch tell time in five different time zones? Yikes, that's a very large white spot that the face of your watch covers. No wonder some strange fungi wants to move in!

  12. No need for salt tabs. Just lick the inside of your watch.

    Are you seeing pretty colors?

Not the cure for cancer, but defintely the cure for a bad day!

  18. Praise Jesus that there is someone else who has a huge watch tan and a grody to the max watch band. I thought that I was the only one and that is why I kept it a secret.

Hey, just imagine what a watch tan of your size looks like on a little tiny girl wrist. I am able to touch all of my fingers to my thumb around my wrist. My tan line is freakin' huge! LOL

  19. I'm so paranoid about getting a watch tan line that I change my garmin from side-to-side every two miles on runs 6 miles or longer. Is that pathetic or what? (Maybe not pathetic, vain, maybe?)

  20. yuck! take a little rubbing alcohol to the inside of that watch band, do something stronger than washing!

  29. Hate to tell you, but my watch tan is even sweeter, because I've got a groovy bike gloce tanline above it.

  31. Wow, I didn't know you were White.

    Damn!

    You're really white!

  32. My watch tan line (though not as impressive) is quite large because I have a Garmin 305 and very small wrists. That second picture is pretty gross!

  33. I was kinda hoping that this was a "Scratch 'n Sniff" post. Dang it! It's NOT!

    Breathe...

  34. Quick!! Put it back on. The tan line is blending!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dude I won't even say what that looks like :P

  36. I am going to say something gross, so if you don't like gross or are easily offended - STOP READING!

Here is my prediction of what that 'stuff' is...

If we break it down into pieces we start with..

    1) the watch is on your left hand - btw love the tan line

    2) we all know that the left hand on men is predominantly used to uh-um - should I say...spank the monkey, choke the weasel, etc. You get the point.

    3) hence the residue inside of your watch is the left over 'man-love' that you didn't realize was there

So it may be a combo of salt from your workouts, but lets be honest with each other :) what is it really?

No one will ever know. :) So I say TASTE it, smell it, lick it, and give this group an update.

:) Gross, but just keeping it real.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm sure it's salt...

You should lick it just to be on the safe side.

  38. Oh man Steve that really takes the cake. Clearly that is shaving gel from all that body shaving. :>P
