Friday Funny 6: Loving Husbands

Pharmie has been commenting how great I’ve been lately. I don’t really know what that means, but I guess I’m doing something right in the “husband” role. Here are some husbands that could maybe use a little lesson from me:

My favorite is the guy in the tent with his mountain bike. If the bike gets wet, it will rust! If his wife gets wet, she’ll just be wet. I see his reasoning.

Just yesterday, I came across this great set of Fairy Tales on Sarah’s Triathlon Adventure (she had just received them in an e-mail). They fit with the theme of today’s post PERFECTLY! So here are the “Worlds Two Shortest Fairy Tales:”

A FAIRY TALE (for women):

Once upon a time, a guy (a Prince) asked a girl (a Princess), "Will you marry me?"

The girl said "No," and she lived happily ever after and went shopping, drank martinis with friends, always had a clean house, never had to cook, had a closet full of shoes and handbags, stayed skinny, and was never farted on.

The End.

A FAIRY TALE (for men):

One day, long, long ago... there lived a woman who did not whine, nag or bitch.

But this was a long time ago... and it was just that one day.

The End.

Don’t be mad at me if you don’t like the stories. Blame Sarah. Just kidding. I don’t know what to think about the part regarding being “farted on.” I’m pretty sure I’ve been farted on more times than I’ve farted on someone else. Happy weekend!

  1. That last one looks like an out-take from Borat.

It's all relative. I may, as a man, behave piggishly, but I don't use my wife as a beast of burden*.

Therefore, I am a good husband.

I fail to see the flaws in that logic.

    * That's why we have The Boy.

  8. Hey the gal pulling the plow is probably figuring she could get a good start on her tan, lol.

Either that or she is scaring the crows away from the crop...

  13. The mountain bike pic is my favorite too -- I have it up at work and underneath it it says: PRIORITIZE, At least you can fix the bike. HAHAHA! My co-worker gave it to me when I was training for IM because I always spoke so fondly of my bike. Happy Friday!

  14. HAHA!! I like the ones with the chicks carrying the heavy stuff - that is totally me... but its not because I have a thoughtless hub, its usually because I think I am super strong!

  20. I wish someone would've gotten a picture of me at 8 months pregnant raking the lawn while my husband just stood there. That definitely would've made this post.

  31. I hate farts!!! They are not funny. But then I am not the farter in my family-i am just the smelly one.

Thanks for the laughs. What impresses me the most, is that the girl is still with the guy with mtn bike. Its nice to see a woman who "gets it" :)
